Having organisational changes isn’t really a big deal, but for the case of Bioware it may be so. Today it was announced that Bioware general manager Aaryn Flynn will depart from the studio. Flynn was the public face behind Mass Effect Andromeda and the newly revealed Anthem.
Filling in his vacancy is Casey Hudson, former project lead for the Mass Effect series who left the company for Microsoft Game Studios.
Hudson left Bioware three years ago, a period where we saw Dragon Age Inquisition released, Mass Effect Andromeda having development issues and a new IP, Shadow Realm, announced and then cancelled. But after three years working on “disruptive [...]

Free-to-play shooter Warframe has been seeing success over its three year lifespan, boasting over 26 million registered players with a record of up to 60,000 players concurrently playing this year. The third-person shooter have many similarities to Destiny where the focus is getting new loot by playing PvP and PvE, with PvE taking place in procedural generated environments.
With the new Plains of Eidolon, Warframe will now add persistent environments, called Landscapes, which is an open world. This makes Warframe more closer to a traditional MMO.
The first Landscape is a town named Cetus, built around a sandy environment. Up to 50 players can share this space and go [...]
Destiny’s Tower is one memorable social space. It’s where you do all your shopping as well as just stroll around and see your fellow players hanging around or do a random dance off. With the Tower and all your loot gone at the start of Destiny 2, the guardians will now have a new social space that will fit 25 players at one time. It’s a farm. There’s even chickens roaming about.
The Farm is turned into a refugee camp which will evolve over time as you go through the story. The various shops are still here and new to the game are activities you can do in the social space. You can play football (as in soccer for North American folks call it) with scores [...]
E3 has come to a close, and the last bit of awards are now in. The biggest media outlets were able to vote for the best games shown at E3 in various categories and now the winners have been announced.

Nintendo taking both huge risks with the introduction of new mechanics (like the possession ability) as well as going back to make sandbox-style 3D platformers like the past has gained high approval from critics (as well as fans, with their YouTube numbers being high as well). Odyssey also takes the Best Console Game and Best Action/Adventure Game award.
The other Mario game by Ubisoft, Mario [...]
Say what you will with EA’s lacklustre press conference in comparison to the rest, but when it comes to YouTube numbers, they won E3. They won big.
YouTube announced the stats of the most viewed games on YouTube during E3 2017. These numbers include trailers, official gameplay, media coverage as well as reactions from fans. And it looks like EA’s strategy on bringing loads of content creators to their show paid off as four of thier games dominated the top 10 list.
Star Wars Battlefront II is the massive hit this year, as expected with 7.9 million views on the official gameplay alone. (Hopefully YouTube excluded the original Battlefront II that [...]
