Tournament circuits for fighting games have grown in numbers over the years. With Capcom Pro Tour being the prime example, other fighting game series such as Injustice, Killer Instinct and King Of Fighters have follow suit. Now here comes a new challenger.
Bandai Namco, in partnership with Twitch, has announced its own tournament circuit for Tekken 7. Called the Tekken World Tour, players of three regions (The Americas, Europe, and Asia-Pacific) compete for points in online matches and official tournaments to gain points, with the top 5 of each region’s leaderboard, plus the Tekken 7 champion at EVO, will compete in the Tekken World Tour Finals event, with up to $200,000 [...]
Le Mans is the premier 24 hour racing event, and in partnership with Porsche and the organizers Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO), the last event for Season 3 of the Forza Racing Championship will culminate there as well.
Over 100 gamers will join the race drivers at the circuit of La Sarthe during Le Mans with a prize pool of $100,000 USD. The Forza RC event is classified under the Official Endurance Esports Category, which means the podium finishes will be on the same podium as the other race drivers during the victory celebration.

Overwatch is almost a year old and the esports scene around the hero shooter is strong. While the influx of tournaments keep the scene healthy, there’s also the Overwatch League. It’s an ambitious endeavour of running franchised teams in a league like Riot’s LCS, or traditional sports leagues like the NFL and MLB.

As the biggest tournament in Dota 2 (and perhaps, the biggest esports tournament in terms of prize pool) draws closer, Valve has made the Battle Pass to accompany this year’s The Invitational available. Each year, players get to buy this Battle Pass which includes a variety of content and 2017 is no exception with access to an exclusive co-op campaign: Siltbreaker. It’s a two-part campaign for four players, with the other half coming later in July.

The Malaysian Fighting Games Community (FGC) is gearing up once more for another big event. The Armaggeddon Cup will be the first tournament presented by Armageddon with big prizes, including a trip to Thailand to enter Thaiger Uppercut, one of the ranking events in the Capcom Pro Tour.
The Armaggeddon Cup will also play host to the official launch of the Malaysian FGC’s base that will be now be located at Geek Empire, Ampang.
