When it comes to gaming laptops the size of ultrabooks, the prime example would be the Razer Blade. It’s thin and compact while still packing the heat required for the latest AAA games (at a premium price). Now Acer is rising up to the challenge by introducing the Acer Predator Triton 700.
It’s only 18.9mm thick, packs a 7th-gen Kaby Lake Intel i7-7700HQ (or an i5-7300HQ) CPU, an NVIDIA GTX10 series graphics card, 6 GB of DDR4 RAM and a pair of 512GB SSD storage. Not only is it thin, the layout is a bit different with the keyboards located down the bottom edge to make room for a huge Gorilla Glass window into the heatsinks that doubles as a touchpad. Yes, the [...]

If you love the Americanized Visual Novel experience, you might wanna give this article a miss until you’ve played Life is Strange.
So, I’ve just finished Life is Strange. Life is Strange is one of many of what I’m told count as “Visual Novels”, but due to the fact they actually have gameplay elements I’m just going to call them Chooseys. They’re like visual novels, but usually consist of cutscenes strung together by third-person running around in [...]
Ridiculous, in a good way. Malaysia-based custom hardware manufacturer Illegear has branched out from their usual custom gaming laptop offerings with their first customisable desktop- the Troika. As the name implies, the desktop has a three chamber setup each housing specific compartments. The top part is the home of the GPU with options to add in 2.5″ HDDs, and the other two houses the system components- mini-ITX motherboard, CPU and RAM- with the other houses all additional storage options and the PSU.
The Troika is not just for looks either. The housing material is made with 2mm thick aluminium, and sports liquid cooling. On the specs side, the cheapest configuration [...]
