Warriors! This is your last call to try out For Honor before it’s official release on February 14. Pre-loading is now available on PS4, Xbox One and PC. It’s around 18GB of size so you might want to download it ahead of time. The beta starts February 9.
You can find the PC download either in the uPlay client or on Steam here. PS4 players can use the link here for the beta download.
To commemorate the beta, here’s one more trailer for the third-person brawler/fighting game, done in 360 degrees. A neat use of the tech, but it’s all in CGI. Check it out here:
Thankfully, the in-game visuals look phenomenal. You can read up on what we think [...]
Senpai! Looks like our early reports were accurate, Let It Die is now available not just in Japan, but all of Asia. You can now download the game at this link here. It’s a whopping 55GB download, but the initial 18GB should let you play the first three floors.
Let It Die is a free-to-play Souls-like action game exclusive for the PS4. Interestingly it is mostly single-player in nature and has a different way of monetising the game. We will get into how the monetisation works in a later article.
Also, remember to change your allegiance once you opened up the Tokyo Death Metro, an MGSV-like mode where you get to raid other player’s base and defend your own. [...]
Missed the closed beta? Don’t worry warriors, as everyone can join in the fight as For Honor will have an open beta on February 9 until February 12 with a new game mode: 4v4 Elimination (no respawns). That’s pretty close to the launch date which is on February 14, so the “open beta” is more likely a demo of the launch game that will be released in a matter of days afterwards. So it’s probably just an open beta in name only (hence the quote marks). We have seen this happened before with Ubisoft’s other game, Rainbow Six: Siege.
Speaking of Rainbow Six: Siege, it looks like For Honor will follow the business model of its slowly-but-surely [...]
Hitman is now on disc! If you’ve been waiting for the full release of the episodic murder sandbox game, this is the time to do it. It’s also now out digitally on Asia’s PSN for RM190. A pretty decent price considering PS4 fans here have to wait the whole season as it was not available until recently.
However, there will be a day one update of sorts. Developers Io Interactive has announced an update that should have arrived by now at the time of writing. The roughly 2GB patch has bug fixes, quality of life changes (like a tweak of a sound effect and more hints of illegal items and activities), the Professional difficulty, as well as another bonus episode, [...]
When For Honor was first announced, the biggest thing selling point of this medieval brawler is how the combat works. It’s slow, it’s deliberate and has potential to be something awesome. Ubisoft may have themselves one of the most unique AAA release they are going to put out with this. It’s not open world, it doesn’t have a lot in common with bigger Ubi games, and will have a full single-player campaign alongside its main bread and butter multiplayer suite.
After spending around 5 hours in the closed beta, I walked away satisfied with For Honor, but it has a lot of kinks on its armour for me to recommend everyone to get this day one. If you can [...]
Ghost Recon Wildlands, the next entry to Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon series, will get its beta test period soon. The open world third-person shooter with four player online co-op can be played by lucky players who have registered for the beta. You can still do so at this link here.
To coincide with the reveal, we get to see another trailer showing off customisation and it looks pretty in-depth when it comes to cosmetics. The in-depth weapon customisation looks nifty too.
Check it out below:
Pre-load begins on February 1, so expect to see the invites rolling out by that time. Ghost Recon Wildlands is set to release on March 7 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
