Arkane Studio’s latest game Prey will see you exploring a space station filled with icky gooey aliens. These black blobs now have a name: Typhons. There are a variety of them- some can mimic objects (an ability that you will have too), some take up a human-like appearance (which is basically them taking over a dead body) and some even has access to psychic powers.
Those mimics will probably have some jump scare potential. But the bigger ones look less horrifying but more menacing. Better stock some ammo before dealing with them.
Here’s a glimpse of a dossier detailing the Typhon.
Prey is set to release on May 5 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
Orisa the quadruped omnic tank will be the freshest face in Overwatch come March 21, as Blizzard confirms its time frame for the new heroes release. Usually, new content for Overwatch will just drop in a new update, but looks like they are shaking up a bit by throwing the date with behind-the scenes video of how Orisa came to be- as heard from the recent GDC, and more.
The new behind-the-scenes video is also another new thing. Usually we only heard the developers’ word via a video of Game Director Jeff Kaplan talking to a camera for a long time (enough for one crafty Youtuber to make remixes– which he himself has embraced in a recent Reddit Ask Me Anything [...]
Another new tidbit emerges for id Software’s latest take of Quake, the series that made established competitive multiplayer FPS on PC. In an interview with creative Tim Willits by Polygon, he revealed that the game will be free-to-play, but with an option to outright buy it.
The free-to-play version will only have one champion for selection: the Ranger (a.k.a the QuakeGuy, the default character model in older Quakes). The Champion Pack will unlock all other champions for a fixed price. Maps will all be shared between free and paid players.
Why do such a thing? id want more players, especially in parts of the world where the Quake name don’t hold as much of a [...]
The legendary competitive FPS is making a comeback, and you too can try it out early in closed beta. Sign-ups are now open over here.
As many has known, the “Champions” in Quake Champions is referring to one added feature: characters with unique abilities. It’s a common design trend for multiplayer games nowadays and thankfully, the first unveiled champion, Nyx, has two simple abilities that should still emphasise mechanical skill and awareness rather than using what is the most OP character in the meta to win.
Here’s a trailer:
On another note, here’s a glimpse one of the first maps you will battling in. Looks fitting for a Quake [...]
Have a PS VR? Here’s another solid looking game for you to check out. Farpoint is an FPS that’s build entirely around VR. It’s one of the only games so far to use the PS VR Aim controller.
Farpoint involves you exploring a distant planet while shooting down nasty aliens, which includes giant spiders (so head’s up. There were reports of people playing the demo at show floors instantly tapped out when they saw one)
It will also have online co-op, so you and a buddy who have their own PS VR setup can go together to play four co-op levels, with more planned to be added after launch. You can see most of the other player’s action being [...]
Thousands of players waiting for the game’s sequel game to arrive and rather love to transfer over their characters over but a lot of things will be left behind. however, Bungie answered their call and confirms that players’ character will carry over from Destiny to Destiny 2 but A lot of things can’t bring over.
But they give us a little bit of love by giving that our character’s race, class, and appearance will transfer over EXCEPT gears, weapons or paid-for Eververse items. Presumably by “power and possessions”. Since they only allow us to transfer character personalization, this is similar to making a new character all over [...]
