Beam is one of the many new streaming platform that aims to go toe-to-toe with the likes of Twitch and Youtube Gaming. Bought by Microsoft last year, the service has seen close integration with the Xbox One and Windows 10 (specifically after the Creator’s Update).
Today, Microsoft has decided to rebrand the service from Beam to Mixer. On the name change, Mixer co-founders Matt Salsamendi explained that it is a team effort, and to help the platform “grow to every major market in the world”.
“We chose Mixer as our new name because it represents what we love most about the service….how it brings people together,” as quoted from the blog post [...]
Phantom Dust is one interesting Xbox game. It’s an action game with deck-building and shooting mechanics, released in 2005 (2004 in Japan) made in-house by Microsoft Game Studios and led by Panzer Dragoon director Yukio Futatsugi.
In 2014, Microsoft formally announced a reboot of this long-forgotten IP led by Darkside Studios. However, by 2016 the reboot has been canned. Microsoft have been making hard decisions on cancelling their exclusive games as of late, including the Platinum’s Scalebound.
However, a remaster of the original game was still in the works, and the good news is it’s going to be out. Tomorrow, in particular.

Every racing game wants a piece of crazy stunt racing it seems. It’s a good opportunity for Mattel’s Hot Wheels brand of toy cars and tracks to cross-over into games. Forza Horizon 3, the open-world and more arcadey cousin to the Forza Motorsport series is getting an expansion all based around Hot Wheels. Australia will be transformed into a city full of those lovely orange tracks zooming all around the locale. Expect loops, booster pads, bank turns and huge jumps when driving on these tracks.
The Hot Wheels expansion comes with a new campaign and includes at least 9 new cars, including a few iconic Hot Wheels original designs like the Twin Mill in the header [...]
For many years the idea of cross-platform gaming has reached some issues. Most prominently was Microsoft’s first try on this idea when Shadowrun, and FPS game based on the tabletop IP, enabled cross-play between Xbox 360 and Windows Vista players via Games For Windows Live. As we know now, Games For Windows Live was a disaster and the idea of cross-play is rarely explored nowadays barred a few games like Rocket League and Street Fighter V.
The mains issue back then was the inherit advantage of the keyboard and mouse control scheme over controllers. So far we have yet to see any FPS games that do any cross-platform multiplayer successfully.
But Gears Of War 4, a [...]

And the specs are really definitely a bigger step up than the jump of PS4 Pro from the regular PS4.
