In an interview with PC Invasion, Sega Europe’s Senior Vice President of Commercial Publishing, John Clark, has confirmed that over 170,000 copies of the recently released PC port of Bayonetta has been sold.
It may not seem as huge, but this is a port of an eight year old game that was released last month. Clark mentioned that Sega is happy with the current sales numbers, and expect to see more PC ports coming down the horizon. No word on what will be the next game to receive a PC release.
Check out the full interview where Clark shared some tidbits on how the effort goes on making a PC port possible.
Bayonetta’s PC release comes as a surprise after a tease [...]
PlatinumGames is having a busy year with a lot of ups and downs. Their work on Nier Automata, which is finally out on PS4 and PC, has been a success though their partnership with Microsoft didn’t end well with the cancellation of Scalebound.
They have also brought Bayonetta to PC in tip top condition, with Vanquish to follow suit this week.
During a keynote speech at BitSummit, producer Atsushi Inaba has teased that a new IP is in the works within the studio. However, details are scarce at the moment- the IP is still “formless”, and a new director will helm the project.
It may not be much info, but a new IP by Platinum is itself big news. The [...]
The tease is over, it’s here. The last game from Sega’s backlog made by Platinumgames that has yet to have a PC port, Vanquish, will finally receive one. Originally released in 2010, Vanquish differs from the studio’s output from being a third person shooter with cover-based elements, but cranked up with some dash of character action the devs are known for.
After the recent Bayonetta PC port release, there were hints at Vanquish will be the next to get one. And it’s all true. The PC version will finally have the game running with unlocked framerate. Now you can knee slide your way and shoot your way in glorious 60fps, as any games from Platinum [...]
Platinum Games have recently started doing PC ports for their older releases, starting of with the excellent Bayonetta. Considering the character action game suffered perfomance-wise on consoles (particularly the PS3 version) having the game finally on PC certainly helps fans relieve the game in the best way possible, especially when the PC port runs absolutely well.
Now, there’s another game Platinum made with publishers Sega that has yet to see a PC release, the 3rd-person shooter Vanquish. Designed by Shinji Mikami- famous for his lead role in shaping up Resident Evil 4’s mix of action horror, Vanquish is a cover shooter mixed up with over-the-top movements and [...]
After a torturous wait, NieR Automata is now available to purchase on our local Steam Storefront for a hefty price of RM 249, just like the price when the game first release! YAY!
So the price,I get that the publisher and/or developer wanting to break even with the pricing and all but it is quite expensive considering that a new DLC is coming next week. Anyway, the game is now available to buy now, so you don’t need to find a third party key.
You can view/buy the game here: http://store.steampowered.com/app/524220/NieRAutomata/
At the time of writing, it’s now the 25th of April, 2017. Only five more days till the end of April and a week until the release of the latest DLC, 3C3C1D119440927, for PS4 and PC. And yet, we in South East Asia, Hong Kong and even South Korea haven’t seen any update on whether NieR Automata is going to be available on our Steam storefront anytime soon.
The question that is on everyone’s mind is simple:
Is it because of Piracy? Maybe. The folks at 3DM could crack DRM fast if they can find an exploit. But punishing all the other countries simply for that [...]
