Now this is awkward.
Earlier, we reported about the PC version of NieR Automata being slightly delayed due to piracy and launch concerns. Well, courtesy of Gematsu, Square Enix just released a new trailer for the game with a very important info in it.
Now, I think this picture is the most important bit.
That’s right. The PC version of NieR Automata is stated to release on 10th March, 3 days after the North America release. Not much of a delay but this is where it gets interesting.
The media file for this at Square Enix has been pulled from it’s website. A reveal too early maybe? Who knows but we can’t [...]
Bad news for NieR fans wanting the new game for PC.
According to an article by DSOGaming, NieR Automata’s producer, Yosuke Saito, claimed that the Steam version of the game may be slightly delayed during a stream recently. Both Square Enix and Platinum Games are working to do something about piracy in the PC Platform, probably a response to Resident Evil 7 being easily cracked within a week of release.
But Yosuke Saito stated that it won’t take long to release NieR Automata on Steam, but the game won’t be released alongside the PS4 version, which will release in two days time for the Japanese version (at the time of writing) and maybe even during the Western release of [...]
Platinum Games reveals their reasons why NieR: Automata won’t be coming to Xbox One and only to be released on the popular platform. (so Platinum Games indirectly said that XBox One probably isn’t popular enough)
Platinum Games’ latest action-RPG NieR: Automata won’t be coming to XBox One but will be released on PC. Most of you would be wondering how and why the Platinum Games reach such conclusion, Platinum Games and Square Enix could enhance their total potential to get maximum sales by releasing the games on varieties of platforms.
“The main reason for this is that the Japanese market for XBox One is not strong, so the decision was made [...]
Recently, Playstation Underground uploaded a Nier: Automata open world gameplay to tease us how the game will end up be released on 7th March 2017. (prepare those money boys)
Adding oil to the fire, New Game Plus mode that retold the second half of the game from another character’s perspective adding up with tons of new cutscenes showing bosses’ backstories from their point of view. Director Yoko Taro noted that Nier:Automata will continue that tradition. “People who have only played through the first ending of Nier:Automata ending have probably not even seen half of the story,” he said on Eu PlayStationBlog. WHAT DOES IT MEANS? well, obviously you had [...]
Scalebound looks promising. Last shown in E3 last year, we saw dragons and some cool action combat, a signature of PlatinumGames. We even saw glimpses of online co-op. Last we heard about it was that it has been delayed into 2017.
And suddenly we got news it was cancelled.
Windows Central reported this statement given by Microsoft on this news:
After careful deliberation, Microsoft Studios has come to the decision to end production for “Scalebound.” We’re working hard to deliver an amazing lineup of games to our fans this year, including “Halo Wars 2,” “Crackdown 3,” “State of Decay 2,” “Sea of [...]
Nier is a cult hit action RPG released back in 2005. It had a long of good thing going with its combination of 3D and 2D platforming, interesting setting of a post-apocalyptic world, and character action combat mixed with some bullet-hell shooting. The only problem? It’s not a refined experience, plenty of clunkiness and unevenness of the gameplay rests the game as a cult hit. But Square Enix is taking another chance with the series by taking a few of the key personnel from Nier such as game designer Yoko Taro and pair them up with a studio known for making good action games: PlatinumGames.
Like how Nier is an spin-off from one of the many endings from the series [...]
