Do you want more Yakuza this year? If the prequel game Yakuza 0, released in English last January, was not enough then here’s another one. Yakuza Kiwami, the HD remake of the first Yakuza game that started it all, will see an English release on August 29.
Kiwami chronicles the story of Kazuma Kiryu, a normal yakuza member who got himself entangled in various conspiracies- in this case, a murder- within the underground world. And he overcomes most of it with some good ol’ fashion brawling. The game tip-toes between super serious crime drama and super goofy comedy antics while providing hours and hours of playtime with its RPG-like structure. Plus, the [...]
REJOICE as Sega has release Bayonetta onto the Steam Storefront TODAY. Equip with 60fps at an unlocked HD resolutions, this could be The Definitive Editon of Bayo since it’s original ports on PS3 and 360 does have technical issues such as screen tearing and slowdowns.
The game stars Bayonetta, of course, a witch who is capable of shapeshifting, possesses magical attacks, and use her own hair to summon demons to dispatch her foes, along with various firearms available in the game. The game features a rating system, which gives players a grade based on their performance, and a combat system that is similar to Devil May Cry, which is no strangers to PlatinumGames, as their [...]
Rev up those management skills as Motorsport Manager, Sega and Playsport Interactive’s Racing management game, is current Free-to-Play for the whole week with the base game on sale with a 50% discount.
It’s currently priced at a discounted RM32.50 instead of the usual RM65.00 but the game’s newest DLC, GT Series (which we have covered before) is not on sale, although buying it with the current price is much cheaper than buying both at full price.
The game is similar to the likes of the Football Manager series which is also published by Sega, so FM enthusiast or curious gamers could try out this title before buying it. But, take it from the [...]
The new Sonic game from Sonic Team was teased last year with a CG trailer involving Modern Sonic, Classic Sonic and a backdrop of a burned down city with giant robots terrorising the place. The recent SXSW panel has now revealed the final name for the game codenamed Project Sonic 2017: Sonic Forces. Here’s the original CG reveal, now with the proper title inserted:
Sound edgy, too edgy. We all know what happened with Shadow The Hedgehog- one of the edgiest take of the Sonic games with some interesting ideas but poor execution. However, the gameplay will be more in line with Sonic Colors and Sonic Generations, one of the better recent games from the [...]
A little bummer announcement: Sonic Mania will miss its original Spring 2017 release. The retro 2D platformer that is both remixing old stages as well as new ones in the look and feel of the original Sonic games needed more time before it’s ready. This was announced over in the SXSW panel where publishers Sega also reveal the official name for Project Sonic 2017: Sonic Forces.
The delay is unfortunate, but they did reveal one new stage taken from Sonic & Knuckles: Flying Battery Zone.
Sonic Mania is set to release sometime this summer (June-September) on PC, PS4, Xbox One and the Switch.
The latest take on the Warhammer 40K universe in RTS form will make its grand appearance pretty soon. Dawn Of War III brings back the huge armies seen in the first game, but with hero units like in Dawn Of War II and a load of other influences including some elements from MOBAs.
Also, the three playable factions: the Space Marines, Orks and Eldar, now have humongous Elite units that not only look cool and menacing, but should provide you plenty of options on how to take on the opposition.
RTS may not be as a big thing nowadays, but there still developers like Relic and Creative Assembly (that recently did Halo Wars 2) to keep the genre alive.
Dawn Of War III is, [...]
