Nadeo and Ubisoft has released TrackMania 2: Lagoon today on Steam and uPlay. The latest editon of their TrackMania 2 series (which initially released in 2011!), “has players racing on raised tracks above a tropical island filled with insane activities”, according to their Steam page.
The tracks are based on the Lagoon Rollercoaster maps from TrackMania Turbo (which is also a pretty good game). The gameplay is as same as it’s previous iteration: You race the clock in various type of tracks to win medals. It also comes with a Trackmania multiplayer channel, an exclusive solo campaign, a new game mode and user-generated content thanks to an upgrade to their [...]
Far Cry 5 has already been announced earlier, but all we got was a title and a logo. Ubisoft continues to tease us with a few more bits of information of the its latest open-world FPS romp.
There is now four short clips teasing the new location: Hope County, Montana, USA.
From the looks of the teaser, all shot in live-action, more murders will be happening in the countryside. The open landscape that it entails should fit with the now familiar Far Cry formula. It also looks so far to be in the modern time, as opposed to the rumored Wild West setting.
The first reveal will be on May 26. With E3 looming by, expect to see even more info about Far Cry 5 by then as [...]
Free weekends work. Not only it gives more people a chance to try the game out again long after the beta period, it can help drive back the community with a surge of new players. As such, Ubisoft’s extreme sports game Steep is getting one this weekend.
All of the game’s content, including the new Alaska area, are all playable this weekend. On top of that, a 40% discount of the digital purchase will be available during this period.
Here’s the time when the free weekend is available:
Steep is one hard sell. While we walked away impressed with the beta, not many do. We may have praised the trick system for instance, but not many like the [...]
Ghost Recon Wildlands is one beautiful game, Ubisoft has clear went away from its “graphics downgrade” days. But maybe Wildlands’ depiction of a fictional Bolivia overrun by narcotics terrorist is a bit too close for comfort. The Bolivian government issued a formal complaint to the French embassy on La Paz regarding the game, made by France-based Ubisoft.
According to Reuters, Bolivian Interior minister Carlos Romero sent the complaint hoping that the French government intervene. “We have the standing to do it (take legal action), but at first we prefer to go the route of diplomatic negotiation,” Romero said.
Ubisoft responded to this issue [...]

The open beta will contain the two provinces instead of just one: Itacua and Montuyoc. Both of these provinces are free to explore either solo with AI bots or co-op up to three friends. Wildlands also support public co-op where you can partner up with random people, should you prefer to do so.

For Honor is out, and a lot of people are starting to compare it to fighting games. We share the same impression, after playing the closed beta.
But this interview between Tekken’s Katsuhiro Harada and Jason Vandenberghe, For Honor’s creative lead, discusses how similar For Honor feels to a typical fighting game, like Tekken.
Harada talks about how the combat system allows Yomi (the Japanese word that means “reading the mind of the opponent” i.e. mind reads), especially when it’s a fair 1v1 fight where it feels similar to a fighting game.
Vanderberghe also sheds light on some of For Honor’s design, like how the UI indicator for [...]
