Playing a 3D platformer is something of a rarity these days, but to play that with friends? Even more so. But that is what Yooka-Laylee, the first game from Playtonic Studios (that mostly comprises of ex-Rare personnel) will offer.
Outside of the main story mode, there will be up to eight different mini-games you and up to three friends can play, including a top-down racer that would remind you of Micro Machines (which happens to have a new title releasing this year). These are all local multiplayer, so this will make use if you have spare controllers and friends coming in. Due to its cutesy cartoon artstyle, it’s mostly safe for children as well.

Finally, a release date! Bandai Namco’s upcoming fighting game Tekken 7 may have been out in the arcades for a while, it was first released in 2015, but it is now ready for its home release on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
Not only will Tekken 7 continues the Mishima family feud (of epic proportions- Heihachi has thrown his son off a cliff multiple times now!), it will also introduce new gameplay mechanics brand new to the series. The Rage system will bring hard-hitting moves, equivalent to a Super in other fighting games, into Tekken. The catch is you need to be in low health, particularly when your health bar flashes red, to pull of a Rage Art or a combo opportunity with a [...]

A new update for Final Fantasy XV should arrive on the 24th January and it will be adding The Moogle Chocobo Carnival, part of the Holiday Pack DLC. Despite being tied to the RM100 Season Pass, the free version of the DLC will also allow Noctis to travel to Altissia all decorated for the festival, which will be packed with mini-games (new chocobo races and a shooting gallery is confirmed).
Also, included in the update is a full-on photo mode. The game has a pretty decent way of generating photos via Prompto’s photography skill, but having full control is always a nice touch.

It’s not just former NBA stars that are making a venture in e-sports. Two-time World Cup champion Ronaldo Luis Nazário de Lima, mostly known as Ronaldo, has now purchased a stake in a Brazilian League Of Legends (LoL) e-sports team, CNB.
The investment was not on his own alone, as he teamed up with two individuals, poker pro André Akkari Igor Trafane Federal, CEO of the Brazilian Series of Poker (BSOP). The trio now owns 50% of CNB, with the remaining 50% still owned by club founders Cleber “Fuzi” Fonseca and Carlos “Fury” Júnior.
The poker pro Akkari, a good friend of Ronaldo, is attributed to the football legend’s interest in e-sports, specifically CNB. [...]
Nintendo has officially revealed specs and features of the new console Switch hybrid. With its excellent features that we expect, the Switch’s Joypad controllers are incredibly out of this era as it reminisces the Wiimote days.
Before hitting straight to the bush, Nintendo didn’t say anything about the Switch’s internal hardware, so it’s a million dollar question that no one knows the answer unless the Nintendo himself. However, Nintendo delivers a vague statement “The switch uses a custom Tegra processor-powered by NVIDIA”. Probably we all know, NVIDIA is dominating the market, for now, kinda predictable that Nintendo will take this [...]

With HD graphics and support up to 4-player local multiplayer and 12 players online, Micro Machines World Series will offer the staple experience you would expect from the series- racing tiny cars across various household and outdoor areas. Aside from that, it will also offer a [...]
