With the rise of Youtube and Twitch being the destination to watch other gamers play games, and the ability of doing it yourself becoming much more accessible, we see a slew of new video content creators and streamers vying for our attention. Many have succeeded, to the point that these gamers can get access to what the gaming press has- early review copies for games, exclusive hands-on time and more.
But what’s it like when you’re starting at zero, with a small channel and little influence? Our gamer of the week has shared some insights of being the small fish in the big pond. Say hello to Jackson “Raijinshi” Lee. This Malaysian Twitch streamer plays a [...]
Ever since the long reveal for Overwatch’s 23d hero Sombra, which involved a convoluted ARG that have left many fans slightly disappointed- despite their efforts of following the clues and solving the puzzles, the Mexican hacker was still staged for her reveal at last year’s Blizzcon. But now, we have start seeing hints and clues to what could possibly be another new hero, one of the two Blizzard has confirmed to be working on currently.
And it is not necessarily Doomfist. Though the idea of a strong tank possibly voiced by Hollywood actor Terry Crews has once been refuted indirectly. Fans haven’t backed down from this, speculating that Doomfist could still [...]
Some good news and bad news for upcoming owners of the Nintendo Switch. With the release date closing in fast, Destructoid confirms that all Switch Cartridges won’t require a mandatory install before playing, unlike it’s competitors. This means that the game (excluding the updates needed for the game) is ready to play from the moment you put in the cartridge into the Switch, but probably won’t be for digital as the game would have to be installed into system for it to play.
Speaking of Digital, during a recent press event in New York, a question is asked weather a parent could buy a 2nd Switch for their children but still share their games across both [...]

It’s almost here! Persona 5 has been released in Japan last year to critical acclaim and the English localisation is almost done. As we predicted, Atlus’ parent company Sega is bringing the JRPG’s English release the same time as it release in the US and Europe- April 4. The one day difference is due to timezones.
Playstation Asia is opening pre-orders for Persona 5 already at this link here. The Chinese release will be available a bit earlier on March 23. Pre-orders from local retailers should be available sometime soon now that we know it’s officially coming here.
This should be good news, as the game was originally planned to launch on [...]
As the release date inches closer, now we see more gameplay footage for Mass Effect: Andromeda. It’s another combat showcase that’s highlight what’s new in this latest release.
In the original Mass Effect trilogy, you’re locked between six different classes revolving around three different skill types: combat, tech and biotic. Some classes focuses on one kind of ability only (Soldier is a combat-focused class) while some are hybrids between two classes (Infiltrator is a combat/tech hybrid). What this means is that each playthrough of previous games will lock you to a specific playstyle, like any classic RPG would do. Andromeda ditches that by making [...]
If you have shapeshifting powers what would you do? In Prey, one of the powers you will receive exploring the Talos I space station is called Mimic Matter. This allows protagonist Morgan Yu to shapeshift and mimic other objects.
The silly thing is at its initial level, you could only mimic small miscellaneous items. That random coffee mug, toilet roll or even a banana lying on the table for no apparent reason other to make the place believable now serves a gameplay function. Need to hide from pesky aliens? Need to go to the other room but there’s only a small opening? Turn yourself into a coffee mug and roll yourself out of harms way and into that small hole that leads [...]
Dead Rising 4, the latest title from the series will get a Steam release on March 14- March 15 here in Malaysia. If you’re itching to whack mobs of zombies with ridiculous weapons but don’t have an Xbox One (and don’t want to buy the Windows Store version for Windows 10), this is your chance.
Dead Rising 4 takes the game back to the town of Willamette, where photojournalist Frank West broke out the scoop of his life on the story of the zombie infested mall back in the first Dead Rising. Now the whole town is having another zombie outbreak.
Expect more silly stuff and less tedious design choices from the earlier games this time around. Though arguably [...]

Upcoming new debut project of Square Enix’s latest establishment of Studio Istoria which is leading by a former Tales producer Hideo Baba which is Project Prelude Rune, an RPG based game.
Square Enix interpret that the name “Istoria” based on Greek word for story. Adding up, ” The aim of the studio is to provide unforgettable stories that will inspire players in their own lives and bring new game experiences to everyone around the world.”. Definitely a vast comment on providing gamers with unconventional desires to be satisfied with the new game experience.
Concept art for the Project Prelude Rune definitely astonishing and [...]
